Hello from the humans behind Exonym.

You may not be surprised to hear that this project has been a genuine odyssey… but it’s actually taken over eight years to get to this point (at least for Mike, Exonym’s tech lead).

The only reason we’re here today is that, from the very beginning, we both knew that whether the company succeeds or fails, this tech is worth putting out into the world.

In fact, our determination has only become stronger by the day: civil discourse is destabilizing, institutional trust is eroding, and AI is beginning to disrupt everyday life. Today’s systems of governance have failed to adapt effectively and are simply incapable of keeping pace with technological acceleration.

This is what gives us the energy and endurance to champion Rulebooks as far as they can facilitate better outcomes for people. Our deepest gratitude to everyone who has contributed their ideas, encouragement, and patience to make this system and our efforts possible.

To anyone discovering Exonym for the first time, consider this our open invitation to reimagine and reform the next era of governance online. We cannot afford to keep reacting to the future. Join us and shape it.
